Nulli Para Ora and Friends!

Good morning my little monkeys! I am more than excited to have Nulli Para Ora here with me today, and she brought some, um, delicious looking friends with her. Please help me welcome Nulli and the guys and gal from her debut novel, Dragon Moon!

Nulli, Dragon Moon is your debut novel. How do you feel right now?
To be honest, it hasn't sunk in yet.  It's all so surreal for me.  Some days I smile and think, "Wow, this is really happening."  Other days I think, "Wow, you have other books to edit."

Yay! That means there’s more Nulli Para Ora to come! (That sounded less dirty in my head). Ahem, moving on!

Gao, *eyeballs him up and down* you’re a sexy, I mean, successful businessman. What do you like to do when the suit comes off?
Gao: *Smiles* I like to run.
Jin: We usually run naked. *winks*
Gao: This is, Jin one of my brothers.  You are much better off ignoring him.
Jin: How could she possibly ignore me? *leans forward and inhales* You smell really good. *narrows eyes* Really good.

He’s right Gao, how can I possibly ignore a comment like that?  So, Jin…*rests chin on hands and bats eyelashes*…just how good do I smell?
Jin: *wicked grin* You smell like someone I'd like to explore more thoroughly, deeply, vigorously, without time constraints or... *looks at your neck* barriers. *sniffs the air and raises an eyebrow* Does that excite you, Parker?

Oh, you are going to get me into so much trouble, I can see it now. *shivers* We better move on! *clears throat*

David, you’re taking me on a date. *waggles eyebrows* Just indulge me for a minute. Where do we go? What do we do? And please, feel free to be specific.
David: *laughs* That depends on what you like to do.  Dinner and a movie is nice, but at first glance, I think you'd like surprises.  I'd find one of your vices, and make a date out of it.  Let's say you like chocolate, I'd probably take you to a chocolatier so we could make your favorites together.  Afterward, we could share them. *sly smile*

*Sigh* Can I keep you?
David: *grins* I'm already taken.
Gao: *low growl*
Jin: I'm available!
Angelique: Lord have mercy...

LOL!! I definitely don’t want to get in the middle of that!

Angelique, what’s your secret for handling these two powerful men?
Angelique: *looks back and forth between David and Gao* It's not always easy.  They have tempers like you wouldn't believe.
Gao: I have every reason to react the way I do.
David: So do I.
Angelique: *watches both men fold their arms over their chests, and sighs*
Jin: I'm not temperamental. *winks*
David: Shut up, Jin.
Gao: Do not speak to my brother like that!  *looks at Jin* Shut up, Jin.
Angelique: *Glares at the three of them* I try to keep the peace by reminding them what's important.  Otherwise, I'd drown in all this testosterone.  Alpha male takes on a whole new meaning here. *shakes her head*

Okay, okay. Let’s move to less hostile territory (I hope). Let’s play the favorites game. This is for each of you, so everyone gets to answer. We’ll start with favorite quote from a book or movie. Ready? Go!
*All eyes turn to Nulli*
Nulli: Why are you all looking at me?
Gao: Well, at least for me, I'd be interested in hearing your answer. *leans forward, eyes shimmering*
Nulli: Don't look at me like that, Gao.
Angelique: *laughing*
David: *raises an eyebrow and laughs*
Jin: *wicked grin* I swear, Nulli, every time you blush, I want to...
Nulli: Favorites game, Jin.  Try to focus.
Jin: I am focusing.  *eyes shimmering, nostrils flared*
Nulli:  Don't make me knock you out.
David: *chuckling* I would pay good money to see that.
Nulli: *sighs* Sorry, Parker.  They're like this because they know how much I dread being the center of attention between them.  Angelique, will you start?
Angelique: Hmm, my favorite quote would probably be: "Live out of your imagination instead out of your memory."
David: Hey, that's what I was going to say!
Angelique: Chance favors the prepared mind. *wink*
David: Now that Angelique has stolen my answer, let me think. *pauses* "It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur.  You take the front line with there is danger.  Then people will appreciate your leadership."
Angelique: *smiling widely*  That's a really nice one.  Who said that?
David: Nelson Mandela.
Angelique: *nods in approval*
Gao: I suppose my favorite quote is an old Chinese proverb. "A bird does not sing because it has an answer.  It sings because it has a song."
Jin: Good grief, you sound like, baba.
Gao: Baba is a wise and...
Jin: Yeah, yeah, yeah.  Here's mine: "I'm a sex addict.  It's my cross to bear.  It's a real disease, with doctors, and medicine, and everything."
Nulli: *blinks*  You can't quote yourself, Jin.
Gao: *shaking his head*
Angelique: *cracking up*
David: *rolls his eyes and coughs to cover his laugh*
Jin: I didn't.  Will Ferrell said that.  I swear!
Nulli: Right... I guess my favorite quote is: "No one rises to meet lowered expectations."

Okay, last question. Favorite body part…and not your own, Jin. Favorite body part on another person. Go!
Gao: There's a spot where the neck joins the shoulder. I am extremely partial to that area. *eyes shimmer*
David: I'm definitely a leg man, but I'm gaining a new appreciation for that neck area as well.
Angelique: *blushes* I, umm.  *leans over and whispers in Nulli's ear*
Nulli: *cracks up* Girl you're a mess!
Angelique: *clears throat* I've just recently discovered how much I enjoy... scents.  A person's unique aroma has certain areas where it's highly concentrated.  I kind of like those areas now. *tugs at collar*
David and Gao: Oh? *both pairs of eyes shimmer*
Jin: Okay, I'll bite... *winks and looks you up and down* I can't see it very well with your long, beautiful hair down, but I imagine I'd love the back of your neck, the area where it joins your upper back.  I'd love to spend some time teasing and tasting there, nibbling my way up to your hairline, pressing my teeth into your creamy skin, and working my way back down again. *eyes narrow* Am I on the right track?
Nulli: Hmm, it depends on the person really. Yes, I'm weaseling out of this one!

This is really the last question and it’s for Jin. So…you busy later? *winks* LOL!

I want to thank Nulli Para Ora and her crew from Dragon Moon for coming out to talk with me today! As always, I’ll not let Nulli out of here without leaving us a sample of this delicious book! Keep reading for more of Dragon Moon!

David Johnson and Angelique Meadows are colleagues on a business trip to China. They've worked together for years, but neither has been able to admit their true feelings for the other. This business trip represents a landmark deal in their careers and an opportunity to reveal the truth of their hearts.  Just as love blooms, disaster strikes.

The man they're meeting with is Yuen Gao, CEO of a multi-million dollar company.  The world sees him as a successful business man. His pack sees him as their Alpha.  Rogues, secret experiments, and the undeniable pull of his mate force him to reveal his secret.  Is his love strong enough to overcome the pain of loss?

Hearts unite and break as trusted friends become enemies behind the scenes.  Love longed for is lost to be replaced by a bond deeper than words.  Loyalties are tested as ghosts of the past step into the present.

Can true love survive when forbidden hearts are reconnected?

Excerpt:

“Angelique, will you indulge us with your observations of what you smell in the air? Your detailed descriptions of your camping trip have me intrigued. I’m curious to see what you can pick up.”

“All right.” A deep breath through her nose brought a rush of scents into her nostrils, and she stood still for a few moments in disbelief. I’ve never smelled so many things this clearly before. She gave herself a mental pinch to snap herself out of her near stupor. “Well, I smell moist dirt, leaves, the faint smell of flowers—”

“You can smell the flowers from the festival?” Gao’s eyes widened in surprise before his face seemed to take on a knowing smile.

Can he smell the flowers too? How does he know they’re from the festival? When she opened her eyes to study him, she was confused by his expression, but she continued her descriptions of what she scented in the air. “I can smell the flowers and something else.”

“Something like what?” David seemed curious as well, and he took a few sniffs as if to mimic her actions.

“I’m not sure; it’s almost like a wet… Like some sort of…” She strained to describe the aroma, but it was difficult since she had never smelled anything quite like it before. Everyone waited for her to continue, and they all seemed eager to see what scents she could pick up.

She continued to take deep breaths as she walked a bit farther in front of the group, as if she followed an invisible trail. “It’s so slight; it’s hard to define it, and now there’s something else.” Identification of the aroma was no longer a novelty; it had grown into a sensory obsession, and she furrowed her brow in irritation when she was unable to name it.

She continued to walk ahead of the group as she tried to identify the new mystery smell. It seemed to get stronger in the direction she moved in, and she followed it as the breeze carried it on the wind. When she stepped in front of a tree, she paused when David called out to her.

“Figured it out yet?”

She closed her eyes again and concentrated with all her focus on the air that she inhaled. The smell was stronger now even though she remained still. Whatever it is, it’s closer.

“Angelique, come back to us. You can figure it out on the way.” David’s voice held a hint of nervousness, and she debated between continuing her analysis or giving up her fixation. I think it’s moving this way now.

*

When the wind changed direction, Gao was able to smell what Angelique tried to describe.Angelique To his absolute horror, a large wolf jumped from the shadows with eyes fixed on her. Gao bolted toward her, his father, Jin, and David only steps behind. “It’s a rogue!”

"Angelique!" David cried out in a voice filled with fear as he picked up his pace. “Run, sweetie, run fast!”

“Don’t run, Angelique!” Please let me get to her in time!

As Gao gave chase, he watched as Angelique ran for her life into the forest. The rogue continued to gain ground and she darted left and right in an apparent attempt to give herself more distance. When the wolf leaped into the air, it landed on her back before tumbling off just ahead of her. She was forced to the ground and Gao could hear the breath knocked from her body. Oh no! No, please!
