Jack would agree. He can’t get the rugged cowboy out of his system. He wants Paul in his bed more than anything, but his best friend has always been resistant to relations with other men. Jack’s instinct says different, but he values Paul’s friendship too highly to push it.

Then Jack takes on beautiful new client Lissy Lofton and finds himself falling hard for the confident show jumper. He’s not the only one. Lissy has caught Paul’s attention, and the attraction is mutual.

But now Jack has a problem. Lissy’s sexual appetite is so ravenous, he doubts he can last the week without backup. Which presents an irresistible opportunity to invite Paul into their bed—where the incandescent heat brings all their walls tumbling down.

Warning: Contains two smoking-hot cowboys whose drive to please the same woman spurs a desire to please each other.

Excerpt of REINING MEN Rated ADULT, HOT, GET THE FAN AND GRAB YER PARTNER

“This lower lip is as ripe as a juicy peach. And this upper one”—he dragged his thumb over the rounded edges—“is a man’s wet dream.”

His dirty words spiked her desire. She wrapped her fingers around his strong wrist. Wide, sprinkled with light hairs, warm from the sun. Damn, she wanted to touch his every inch. For a week, Jack was hers to worship.

And she planned to take total advantage and make the big fee worth it.

His lashes lowered over smoldering eyes the color of sea glass. As a child she’d gathered the remnants from the beach and kept them in a little wooden box her parents had given her. What had happened to that collection?

Who cared? Now she had a new kind of sea glass to admire.

Jack tipped closer until the brim of his hat bumped her forehead. With a warm chuckle, he nudged it up. “Hat on or off, Lissy?”

Her mind bounced around the question. What did she want her first kiss to be like? He was allowing her to choose her path. Her heart swelled with the knowledge of her own power.

“On,” she whispered, her voice a stranger’s.

He angled his head, nose brushing hers. She filled her lungs with his scent—leather, man, hay. All the things she adored clinging to one perfect cowboy.

Pressure Rising, by Rhonda Lee Carver

Hi y'all! Happy 2015! What better way to start the year than with sexy cowboys? Check out Rhonda Lee Carver's latest release, Pressure Rising!

PRESSURE RISING (Book 2, Rhinestone Cowgirls)
Release date: January 7, 2015

Carrying a shotgun lands her into trouble … and under the spell of a cowboy

Pearl learned the hard way that DJ is a poison that needs to be eradicated from her neighboring land. Although she hates him with a passion, killing him isn’t part of her plan. When the shotgun fires and DJ is wounded, she wishes she left the gun at home.

DJ has a pain in his butt—literally. Thanks to Pearl with her poor shooting skills and temper. He knew all along that she had it out for him, but shooting him in his backside was a little too close for comfort. When she shows up on his doorstep— after prodding from her family—apologizing and offering to ‘nurse’ him back to health, he can’t help but imagine all of the opportunities at his fingertips. His sweetest revenge would be to prove that she has feelings for him, and with a little of his country-boy charm, she might lose the emotional barriers and stop treating him like the devil’s spawn.

One touch and Pearl is hooked. Changing the bandage on DJ’s nice, tight buns starts a fervor within her that leads her down a delicious path—and straight into DJ’s strong, awaiting arms. She realizes shutting him out isn’t as easy as building another wall of protection. He’s in her blood and she’s addicted. And her cowboy is determined to unlock all of her closed doors.

Excerpt:

All hell broke loose inside of her as he rolled the tip of his tongue along the inside of her mouth. His fingers threaded through her damp hair, tangling in the mass, lifting her head at a perfect angle so he could reach deeper.

He tasted good. He felt even better. The scent of his soap and the clean fragrance of rain mingled underneath her nose, making her nipples tight.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, dragging him closer, pressing her breasts against his hard chest.

His teeth nibbled at one corner of her mouth, scraping gently along the curve of her bottom lip. A vision of him nibbling her pussy lips made her scorch with heat as a strong desire to be one with him washed through her. Her core ached for fiery release.

All trepidation faded from her.

His kiss slowed and he pulled back. She whimpered in disappointment and opened her eyes. His gaze was filled with longing and she wanted him right then and there, not caring that earlier that week she could have wrung his neck.

“Darlin’, I don’t think one kiss will be enough.”

A hot shiver raced across her flesh. “No?”

“Uh-uh.” His eyes turned a shade darker and he sucked in a deep breath.

“Where are we headed here, DJ?”

“I have plans to lick every part of your delectable body. Is that a problem?”

She couldn’t have turned him down if her life depended on it. She unfastened the top button of his shirt, then another. “I like that idea.”

He smoothed his hands along her bare leg to the top of one cowgirl boot and pulled it off her foot. He gave it a toss and it landed with a thump to the floor. Then he removed the other. “You’re making me crazy, woman.”

Undoing the rest of his buttons, her mouth watered at the sight of his bare chest and flat stomach.  “God, I’ve never seen a better body.”

He chuckled and it vibrated his chest. “I don’t think I’ve ever been more flattered.” His eyes twinkled.

She tugged his shirttail from his jeans and helped him slip the material from his shoulders. He had nice, large shoulders that could carry a lot of weight. “Is there any part of you that isn’t toned?”

“Well, you haven’t seen all of me yet, sweetheart.” He smoothed the back of his knuckles along her cheek.

“I’ve seen this part.” She squeezed his ass, careful not to hurt his wounded cheek. “That’s definitely in shape. About the only thing I haven’t seen is buried deep in those jeans, and from the looks of that bulge, I don’t think I’ll be a disappointed woman.”

He sucked in a breath. “Are you sure you want this?”

“I not only want it, I’m craving it.” She moistened her lips. “It’s been a long time for me, DJ. I hope I can satisfy you.”

He blinked. “Darlin’, I’m satisfied just looking at you. Trust me, neither of us will have a problem.”
He tucked a tendril of her hair behind her ear. “How long has it been?”

“Too long,” she whimpered.

“I don’t want to make you feel like this is all I want. We don’t have to—”

She covered his mouth with her finger. “Don’t, DJ. I want this. I’ve been waiting a long time to feel this way.”

“I’m privileged to break the dry spell.” He winked. “I’ll take very good care of you, sweetheart.” He nuzzled his nose against her cheek.

She scraped her nails down his back. “How fast can we get the rest of the clothes off your body?” She couldn’t wait to see his goodies.

EXCERPT from White Collar Wedding:

Three weeks before the wedding…

“We’re going to have to cancel.”
Gavin held onto his patience by a thread. “Lauren. Be reasonable.”
His bride-to-be spread her arms and twirled in the middle of what should’ve been their new kitchen, if the fucking contractor had done what Gavin paid him a fortune to do.
Lauren laughed with a manic tone Gavin could go the rest of his life without ever hearing again.
“I am being reasonable. How can we leave for our honeymoon when…” She waved her hand to encompass the area. Her beautiful eyes turned glassy with tears.
Son of a…
Gavin wanted to hit something. Lauren wasn’t prone to shed tears over messes and missed deadlines. She shared his no-nonsense approach to business. More than once he’d been in awe of her strength, the steel in her spine as she’d out-maneuvered countless boardrooms of men.
Every woman had her limits. It seemed the business of building their home had caused Lauren to hit hers.
What was supposed to be the happiest time of their lives had turned into a complete nightmare.
He glanced around the room, which was nothing more than a construction zone. The custom cabinets had been installed, leaving gaping holes where the appliances should be. There were no countertops. No trim. No. Goddamn. Sink.
And that was just the kitchen. The master bathroom didn’t have a shower. The guest bedrooms didn’t have flooring. The walls throughout had yet to be painted.
Anger fired his blood. Oh, he was definitely going to hit something—the chubby jaw of the bastard who’d left this shit undone.
“We aren’t canceling our honeymoon.” He’d waited more than twelve years to make this woman his. They were less than a month from making it official. Lauren deserved the wedding of her dreams, which included their honeymoon in Hawaii. He’d be damned if she wouldn’t get it.
Seemed Lauren had other ideas.
“Let me rephrase. It’s done. I called the travel agent this morning.”
“Damn it, Lauren. You should’ve talked to me before you made that decision for both of us.”
“Talking about it wouldn’t have changed the situation, Gavin, and you know it. Look around. Our home is in shambles. We’re scheduled to move in a month. You really think that’s going to happen if we aren’t here every single day to make sure things are getting done?”
Gavin couldn’t help but take her comment personally. He didn’t believe in micro-management. He paid good money to others so he wouldn’t have to. But the fact remained: the ranch kept him so busy these days that he hadn’t done his job to make sure their house was completed on time.
“So we postpone our move-in date. We’ll stay at the cabin a little longer. It’s not the end of the world, and certainly not worth missing out— ”
“No. We need to stay and deal with this mess. We can go on our honeymoon later.”
“With calving season right around the corner? You know I can’t leave my brothers to handle all the work.”
“They handled it themselves all the years you lived in London. You think they couldn’t handle one more?”
Gavin stared at the woman he loved, wondering at what point she’d decided to turn on him.
“That’s not what I meant,” he said slowly. “Clay has his hands full with the new stock coming in over at Ainsley’s. Even with Jared’s help, it’s all Pax and I can do to keep up without Clay. You know we’re hiring more help, but until then, it’s all hands on deck, baby. We’ve talked about this.”
He reached for her and muttered a curse when she stepped away.
“Lauren.” Gavin folded his arms to avoid the urge to reach for her again. “When I came back to Texas, I made a promise—to myself and to my family. I have a responsibility to be here for them.”
Lauren shoved both hands through her hair, leaving behind a mess of shining waves Gavin longed to bury his own fingers in.
She sighed. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I didn’t mean … of course we can’t go away during calving season. But we can’t go away now either. I wouldn’t be able to relax knowing things are such a mess here.”
Gavin was on her before she could retreat. He pulled her into his arms and breathed a sigh of relief when she melted against him. “I can think of a few ways to help you relax.”
“I have no doubt.” She nuzzled his chest. “I know it’s not ideal, but we could spend our wedding night at the beach house. Maybe spend a day or two there?”
He loved his—their—place on Galveston Island. However— “November isn’t the greatest time for swimming in the Gulf.”
“Who said anything about swimming?”
Gavin stroked a hand over her silky hair, struggling for the words to express how precious she was to him. He settled for, “All right, baby. If that’s what you want, that’s what we’ll do.”
He’d find a way to give this woman the moon if she asked for it, but spending what should be their honeymoon fighting with housing contractors was not his idea of a good time.
He had to make this right.
It was time to call in reinforcements.

Borrowed Cowboy - RELEASE WEEK!

TGIF naughty readers!!

It's been a great release week here in Kincadia - thank you so much for all the shares, likes, and wonderful comments for Paxton. If you've missed the details - here they are, along with an excerpt. Enjoy!

Paxton Mathis is committed to bachelorhood. One failed marriage was more than enough to remind him of the dangers of getting too close. He has his work on the ranch; he has his family. He has everything he needs.

Event planner Reese Jameson accepted the job at Shadow Maverick Ranch for one reason: to face her biggest regret. Paxton Mathis was her first love, her first everything. And ten years ago, after a night of unbridled passion, it all came crashing down.

The moment they see each other again, it’s clear the years haven’t doused the heat between them. On the contrary, their flames burn hotter than ever. Despite Paxton’s attempts to keep things casual, old feelings emerge alongside a fierce hunger to keep Reese in his life forever. Reese willingly accepts Paxton’s need to keep things casual, but she’s worried her heart won’t get the message.

When Paxton is forced to face his fears, will history repeat itself, or will he take a chance on a whole new future?

***********

Pax made good on his promise to call.
He called every night for a week, so when her phone rang late on Friday night, Reese wasn’t surprised.
“Hi, beautiful. You home yet?”
She experienced a rush of pleasure at hearing his voice. Reese turned her key in the lock. The man had impeccable timing. “Walking in now.”
“How’d it go?”
She tossed her purse and keys on the narrow counter that served as a pass-through to her kitchen.
“Without a hitch.” She’d been planning the fundraiser for a local children’s hospital for months. “They raised a lot of money, and I found the perfect caterer for Gavin and Lauren’s wedding.”
Surprise colored his tone. “Yeah?”
“I’ve been hesitant to mention them to Lauren. They were highly recommended, but I’ve never seen them in action until tonight. The food was delicious, and perfect for what Lauren envisioned. I won’t bore you with the details. What did you do today?”
“You never bore me, darlin’. You wanna talk boring? I spent a good part of the day in the office with Gavin.”
She snickered. “In the office?” As memory served, Pax hated anything to do with paperwork. Or being cooped up inside. He preferred fresh air and wide-open spaces.
“Not my favorite thing to do, but sometimes, a necessary evil. There’s a neighboring property we’d like to buy. We had a conference call with our dad this morning. Sort of a status update, I guess you could say. Then I spent the next few hours going over land surveys and next year’s breeding schedule. Tedious stuff.”
Right. Tedious. He loved every minute of it, just as she loved her work. “Are your parents enjoying their vacation?”
Reese made her way to the bedroom. She kicked off her heels, shouldered the phone, and worked the sheer pantyhose down her legs. Wearing pantyhose on a hot Texas night should be a crime. She sat on the edge of the bed and flexed her toes, groaning as her muscles cooled and relaxed.
“Pax?”
“They are.” Pax’s voice turned sultry smooth. “What are you doing?”
She fell back on the bed. “I’m reveling in being out of those shoes. And don’t get me started on the pantyhose.”
“If I were there, you’d be out of more than just your hose and shoes.”
Her body reacted to his threat, heat pooling between her thighs. “Promises, promises.”
Reese ran a hand over her breast. God, she missed him. Their work schedules had made getting together impossible over the last week. They had their date for Mrs. Sinclair’s seafood boil tomorrow, and it couldn’t come soon enough. Reese was counting down the hours until Pax picked her up.
The night of Patrick’s death had haunted her for so long. She felt lighter, happier than she had in years. Reese never dreamed they’d be in this place. She and Pax. Rediscovering the connection between them.
Their nightly conversations had been tame. A ritualistic check-in at the end of each day that screamed relationship. They’d begun to get to know each other again, which seemed odd considering in the two times she’d seen him, he’d made her come more times than she could count.
Leave it to them to do things backward.
Pax continued to avoid the topic of his marriage and Reese didn’t push. She’d figured out most of it on her own, anyway. Reese hadn’t been entirely forthcoming, either. She’d never been married, but she’d been asked. Recently. Pax deserved to know, but how does one go about saying Hey, this guy I refused to marry keeps calling…
Yeah, not so easy when the man she loved was looking for a reason not to trust her. Whether he realized he was doing it or not.
One day, he’d trust her to protect his heart. The last thing she wanted to do was give him a reason not to.
Reese filled her lungs, prepared to broach the subject.
He’d be cool. Pax would see the situation for what it was. Reese wasn’t interested in Todd or anything he had to offer. Pax owned her heart. Okay, so she wouldn’t share that last part. Call it a defense mechanism. Whatever. Her heart wasn’t a card she was ready to play.
“Tell me about the dress you’re wearing. I assume you’re in a dress?”
Pax’s words startled her back to the conversation. “Well … yes. For the moment I am. A cocktail dress. Simple. Nothing flashy.” She was often expected to attend the fundraisers she planned. She dressed the part, but preferred to stay on the sidelines to make sure everything went as scheduled.
“Gonna need a little more for the visual I’m trying to create here, sweetheart.”
And she’d just lost her opening to a conversation that would now have to wait. Not for long, though. Soon.
“It’s just a dress. Spaghetti straps. Modest…” She glanced at her cleavage. “…modest-ish. Black and turquoise. That’s sort of a green—”
“I know what turquoise looks like. Keep going. Is it a long dress?”
“No, short.”
He growled. “How short?”
Reese hummed into the phone, warming to his game. “Short enough.”
“Take it off.”
Her stomach clenched at the demand. “What?”
“Take. It. Off.”
