Parker's Summer Reading - Top Five

 #5 - Turn and Burn by Lorelei James

My number five just happens to be the fifth book in Lorelei James' Blacktop Cowboy series. After One Night Rodeo, I'm excited to find out what's in store for sassy Tanna. Too bad I'll have to wait until August to find out...








 #4 - Rush by Maya Banks

I love anything Maya Banks writes, so I'm very excited about this first book in her her Breathless Trilogy. I mean, come on. One of the three most wealthy men in the country, living out his sexual desires? Sign. Me. Up.

#3 Rescue in the Smokies by Becca Jameson

I love the warning on this book. "Warning: This book contains hunky shape-shifters living in the mountains, hot steamy sex in caves, mind-blowing oral, mild bondage and wild abandonment in front of mirrors."

She had me at "Warning."

#2 - Predator's Kiss by Rosanna Leo

I'm planning a summer filled with sexy shifters...so, of course, I can't forget Rosanna Leo. Aside from the fact that she's a friend, I adore her and everything she writes. I can't wait to settle in with these yummy bears!







#1 - Redneck Romeo by Lorelei James

I know, I know. Lorelei already has a book in my top five...but is it my fault she's releasing two books this summer? I first learned about this series a few years ago...and I'm hooked. Whew, this is book 15...and I hope there are that many more to come. The way the McKays reproduce...I'd expect we will have characters for the Rough Rider series for years to come. :)

Men and Women of the Military Giveaway Hop!

Who Needs a Hero? Or two? Or three?

What is it about men in uniform that gets us all hot under the covers? Is it the badass-ness of those who fight to protect us, who fight for our freedoms? Is it the way they handle their, um, weapons? No, wait. It's the abs. Definitely the abs. (All of the above).

My recent top five countdown was so popular, I decided to do it again...Military Style. Only this time, I'm going to look at series instead of just one hero. Today, I need my heroes in bulk. 

So, what are my top five, melt your panties, deliciously badass, military-themed romance series?

5. The Black Cobra Quartet, by Stephanie Laurens

This series follows four "battle-hardened, sinfully wealthy, completely unstoppable" men, all officers of the Crown. *Sigh* There is just something about a man who can handle a sword that gets me every time. Bonus: Ms. Laurens has a great trailer for the series. 

4. Holding Out for a Hero series, Shelli Stevens

Any book that warns "Oral sex with a cupcake" is going to get my vote. Honestly, do I really need to say anything else about this?

3. The Nauti Boys series, by Lora Leigh

Lora Leigh will probably show up on every countdown I do. Just expect it. I haven't read her Elite Ops series, but it's on my TBR list. I assume it will be just as fabulous as my number three pick. The Nauti Boys are badass, sexually driven (uninhibited) and are hardcore protective of their women. Mmm. Where was I again? 

2. KGI series, by Maya Banks

It's hard to decide which Kelly brother I love the most. With six to choose from there's a man to suit any, um, taste. Not only that, there are other badass men who work for the Kelly's. Covert ops and extra deliciousness for the readers! Ahhh...tough, loyal, and extremely protective...anyone see the trend in my countdown?

1. The Martin Family series, by Parker Kincade

You had to see this one, uh, coming. Seriously. I love these guys. I mean, there's no oral sex with cupcakes (yet!), but there's plenty of hot men and hot sex. Two of my favorite things! If you haven't read One Night Stand, enter the giveaway and maybe you'll win a copy of your very own!

Wicked After Dark

Something Wicked This Way…well, you get the idea.

It’s my first blog hop. I’ll admit, I’m a little nervous. My heart is pounding and my palms are sweaty. I shiver a little in anticipation. *takes deep breath* Here goes…

Halloween is approaching, bringing with it all those delightfully naughty costumes and wicked treats – those of the male variety, as well as the sugary kind. 

Me? I prefer the male variety. Which got me to thinking…

Who are my top five, deliciously wicked, sinfully naughty heroes from paranormal romance novels? There are so many men/vampires/shifters/demons to choose from!

5.  Strider, Keeper of Defeat, Lords of the Underworld series, Gena Showalter

I love all of these warriors, but when trying to decide which Lord of the Underworld would make my top five, there was no doubt who I would pick. Strider gets the official number five slot on my countdown. As the Keeper of Defeat, Strider can’t lose a challenge without suffering unimaginable pain. Hmm. I can think of a thousand ways I’d like to challenge him. (I’ll bet you can’t get me naked. I’ll bet you can’t make me…well, you get the idea).

           

4. Wraith, Demonica series, Larissa Ione

Smart-mouthed, self-indulged and a powerhouse in the sack, Wraith is the quintessential bad-boy. The fact that he’s a Seminus demon who needs sex to survive? Added bonus. (He’s also part vampire so there’s the neck-sucking thing too).

           

3. Vane Kattalakis, Dark-Hunter/Were-Hunter series, Sherrilyn Kenyon

There are so many things to love about Vane. Sex-on-a-stick? Check. Rides a motorcycle? Check. Badass werewolf? Check. Genetically incapable of ever having sex with anyone but his mate? Check. What more could a girl want?

2. Thanatos, Lords of Deliverance series, Larissa Ione

Larissa Ione gets a second nod on my top five with Thanatos – also known as “the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse.” I mean, come on, who wouldn’t love a fierce warrior who thought sex would turn him evil? Thousands of years of sexual frustration wrapped up in one, muscle-bound, badass immortal? Sign. Me. Up.  

1. Jonas Wyatt, Breed series, Lora Leigh

I just want to say ‘thank you’ to Lora Leigh for giving us this man. Or lion. Or man-lion. Or man that shares lion DNA. Whatever. He’s a badass (see a trend in my countdown) that you don’t know whether to love or to hate. He gets what he wants by any means necessary. He lies, manipulates and even kills. So why did I pick him as my number one? Because he’s the shit, that’s why. No really. He’s brutal and hard (heh), but his capacity for love will take your breath away.

So, congratulations Jonas, you win top spot on my sexy-as-fuck countdown! I’ll give you your prize later.
