Valentine's Day is almost upon us. What better time to talk about the sexy heroes that we curl up with on the couch or take to bed with us every night. Actually, is there ever a bad time to talk about sexy heroes? Mmm, I think not.
My favorite heroes have always been a combination of heartthrob/heartbreaker. It's no secret that I'm a sucker for badass, hard-core, full-on, alpha males. All those tough, manly attributes only adds to the beauty of when they fuck up. And let's face it. They are going to fuck up. That's what makes him a heartbreaker! He's controlling, has a stubborn streak a mile wide, and fights against his feelings.
So, why on earth would we love him? Because, at some point, we know he's going to come through for us.
It's deliciously irresistible to see an alpha male grovel to the woman he loves. But, he can keep his flowers and candy. Save the dinner reservations. If an alpha male wants to make it up to me, he needs to prove how sorry he is. Perferably while naked.
Let's take my own Joe Sterling, hero from One Night Stand, into consideration. Motorcycle ridin', leather wearin', dirty talkin', former sniper - Joe has all the qualities I look for in a hero. That's the heartthrob part. So, how does he make it up to Amanda when he screws up? Hmm. Now...why would I tell you that when you can read it for yourself? *wicked grin*
